2024 Reading Challenge: February
Hi! 👋🏾
Again, hoping to stay accountable. I mentioned this book in my previous blog post and why I picked it in the first place.
It’s been enjoyable but also very long and I couldn’t find the time to finish the book. While I’m still intrigued by Disney’s life and all the contents of this book, I guess I’ll pick it up and finish it some other day.
It’s well written and I enjoyed it. Balancing quality with the financial situation at the time seemed difficult and it’s impressive how he kept going and took advantage of opportunities that came his way. I also love how the author clarified from the start of the book that contrary to random stories and Family Guy, Walt Disney isn’t cryogenically frozen somewhere.
Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination : Gabler
It’s a great book and I’d recommend it if you have the patience. I think I could say the author has a similar writing style to Walter Isaacson, sort of.
I didn’t finish but I’d give this a 3/5. 3 because it’s good but not good enough to make me find time to finish it.
Okay, thank you for reading. See you next month!
